Always believe in your soul…

3 Aug

Ok ok I have been truly bitten by the Olympic bug and have on more than one occasion screamed myself hoarse and bawled as some Athlete from a country I haven’t even heard of takes to the podium…….and as for when Team GB get a medal well I am in floods!

All of this Olympics malarkey is of course another great excuse for wearing some metallics so I have put together a few of my favourite pieces (in Gold of course)

This yummy dress is from Asos for £65 but guaranteed to make you look like a winner on a big night out.

Not into dresses how about these bad boys from H&M for £24.99

I am also loving this Clutch from Warehouse which I think is a bargain at £22

And last but not least this amazing nail polish by Opi which contains real 18k gold flakes it is to be released soon and although I have heard rumours of a £23 price tag I think I may have to treat myself to this gorgeous looking stuff

I hope everyone is enjoying the games as much as me, I am very excited that the athletics has just started and can’t wait to scream some more at the TV and hopefully weep with joy for a few more members of Team GB!

Spring Rings and Sunnier Thing…

1 Mar

Oh what a day I have had! I did however get to unwind doing one of my favourite things…………CRAFTING.

If you have read the blog before you may have seen the Doolallytat wire wrap rings…..Well I have been playing about with these and added some of my favourite things BUTTONS:

The rule of 3 seems to be best with these little beauties and the different colours mean they can be swapped and matched to whatever outfit you are wearing.

It is of course another chance for me to show off a bit more of the new Doolallytat packaging which I am so happy with.

We are off on a day trip to a farm tomorrow so hopefully we will have lots of sunny pictures of Perfect Piggies and Delightful Ducks!

Hope you enjoyed the sunshine today long may it last.

Too Much of A Good Thing…Can Be Wonderful…

23 Jan

I admit that I find it quite easy to get caught up in a fad especially when it comes to crafting. It is so easy to see something handmade and think ‘I will give it a go’  Most of the time tutorials are pretty good and you can make some amazing stuff other times it can me a complete disaster.

But it is always worth giving it a go. When I bought the gear to make the wire rings I was expecting it to end with another load of unused tools and unloved material and that it would be filed in the impossible drawer along with trying to Knit (I have never got the hang of this and Cats are not helpful with Wool) and Needle Felting (A craft that takes so long each tiny felt animal would cost £100 each)

I have however fallen Head over Heels for Ring Making…

This was my first attempt and I have to say I suprised myself at mow much I enjoyed making it and how pleased as punch I was with the result.

This has also solved my dilemma of trying to find beautiful affordable stack rings….

I am so happy with the results and with a bit of a kick up the bottom from my friend at PaperBagBlog, I am looking into getting an Online shop to sell my creations. So Watch this Space……
